Reflection

There are some recent experiences and issues which I could write about easily. For those, I could even expand on related issues but then I had to start thinking a lot more longer.
I had to think back to my experiences a long time back where I was frustrated with certain things ,or when I had ideas to solve problems.
There are some problems which I have but there are solutions which I decided not to write about although the solutions can be improved on ( cheaper , more available etc)

  1. Cory,
First and foremost I want to applaud you on the design of your blog. It is really modern and elegant, and has inspired me to alter mine in some ways! Now on to the assignment, you listed a lot of really great "bugs". I particularly agree with bug number 2, I always get charged 5 dollars for taking money out of my savings, but don't have a choice in that I need to put money in my checking account. There should definitely be an alternative to this. Also, I see that some of your bugs relay to bigger general problems such as capitalism, the government, monopolies. Do you start at tackling the smaller problems, or the big problem at hand? Great job!

  2. Hey Cory, I enjoyed reading your bug list and though you had some very relevant and relatable. In particular I can relate to the bug of having to pay additional charges for multi-currency charges because I am a foreign student and had to get a travel debit card to try and overcome this problem. I also find it frustrating that large corporations have so much power - which you brought up in your comment about facebook harvesting data. As well as this you also found that many of the 'why's' were related to capitalism and large issues such as monopolies in markets which is a conclusion that I found myself coming to in my bug list as well.

  3. Hi Cory,
The majority of your bugs were very legitimate complaints that I had never known or thought about. After reading your bugs, I became very concerned with a few of them. The one that seemed to catch my attention the most was Bug 2. As a person who enjoys traveling out of the country, this is an issue I need to think about. I think it is rather annoying to have to spend extra money in order to spend money in other countries. I wonder if this is an issue that bother many, and if something could be done about it despite the control banks have.

  4. Hey Cory,
I feel like I’ve got so many similar complaints after reading through your list. I especially agree with numbers 8 and 12. It’s almost like packaging is seen as a way to legitimize one product over another. In the case of food, people may assume a product is more fresh in its packaging but its probably days older because the packaging step was added unnecessarily. As for number 12, hopefully the trend towards usb-c continues.
