Chloe is a 21 year old undergraduate that lives in Singapore. She travels often to nearby countries in Southeast Asia as flights are relatively short and cheap with budget airlines.
She is technology savvy and uses the internet to look for information for many things including finding places to go overseas like places to eat and finding the best offers online. She loves online shopping and often gets products from overseas. She loves the benefits of smartphones and apps to help organize her life , from budgeting apps to notes and reminder apps. She works part time to help pay for her lifestyle and because she does not want to be too dependent on her parents. Hence, she monitors her finances often and is relatively budget conscious but still spends on luxury items time to time.

In general, the avatar/persona of my segment is close to what I am. I have recently been travelling more often but I have always been aware of the hassle of having different kinds of physical currency, especially coins and it puzzled me why we have not advanced the way we pay with so much digital innovation. I feel the coincidence that the persona of my segment is similar to me because I have experienced the frustration with the status quo but it is also my generation which is more tech savvy. I believe the current and next generation of young adults would just only grow to be more aware and have access to information and will demand for disruption or change in industries that have not been challenged. This means they will bring it to the workplace and companies and spearhead such change, especially regarding the financial system which has always been bogged down with inefficiencies.

  1. Hi Cory!
I was very intrigued at how you literally created a person with a backstory as your avatar. I wish I would have thought of that! It was very detailed and I think it is a great representation of someone who would need the service. I also respect that you can relate personally to your service. That is important because you can understand why and how the person needs the product.
